Our professional development offerings create space for shared learning, collaboration, and problem-solving, supporting practitioners as they translate ideas into action. Examples include:

ACUE Courses:

In 2020, the Success Center partnered with the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) to provide faculty with evidence-based teaching skills and competencies that are proven to lead to improved student achievement and close outcome gaps. To-date, over 1,000 Ohio faculty have received ACUE credentials. [link]

Holistic Student Supports Institute:

Since 2018, the Success Center has hosted an annual Holistic Student Supports Institute (HSSI) to bring together student support professionals to explore strategies to better align services, remove barriers, and improve student persistence and completion.

Data Summit:

First introduced in July 2020, the Data Summit is a virtual event crafted by our college institutional research professionals to explore how data can be used more effectively to inform decisions, improve student outcomes, and strengthen institutional practice.

Coalitions of Practice:

Piloted as action-oriented communities to create an ongoing network of Ohio community

college practitioners working on common practice problems across the state, specifically targeting the ever-growing network of Leadership Academy alumni. The coalitions – including data informed decision-making, holistic student supports, teaching and learning, and workforce development – have worked since fall 2023 to refine the group's shared focus and implement solutions at their individual colleges.
